Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This page explains how the website letzagents.lu uses (or rather doesn't use) cookies. At LetzAgents, we build privacy-respecting AI solutions :our website follows the same philosophy.

3. Our approach: zero tracking cookies

The website letzagents.lu does not use any tracking, advertising or profiling cookies.

Specifically, this means:

  • No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight or other trackers
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies
  • No social media cookies
  • No profiling or fingerprinting cookies

4. Cookieless analytics (Umami)

To measure our website traffic, we use Umami, an open-source solution self-hosted on our own European servers (Hetzner, Germany/Finland).

Umami is a privacy-respecting alternative to Google Analytics:

  • No cookies are stored in your browser
  • No IP address is collected or stored
  • No unique identifier is assigned to you
  • Impossible to track you across visits
  • Impossible to personally identify you
  • No data is shared with third parties

We only collect aggregated and anonymous statistics: page views, country of origin, device type, browser used.

5. Technical cookies and storage

Your browser may store a strictly technical cookie to remember your language preference (French, English, German or Luxembourgish).

This cookie:

  • Contains no personal data
  • Is not used for tracking purposes
  • Is exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5.3), as it is strictly necessary for the service to function

Technical storage for the appointment form. When you fill in the appointment booking form, your browser temporarily keeps the form draft and a session identifier in sessionStorage. This information is deleted when the tab is closed or as soon as the booking is confirmed. It is strictly necessary for the form to work and is exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5.3).

6. Third-party cookies

No third-party cookies are stored during your visit to letzagents.lu. We do not integrate any external services that would store cookies in your browser (no Google, no Meta, no LinkedIn). The chat available on the website is a LetzAgents product, served from our own infrastructure (cdn.letzagents.lu). It is not a third-party service.

7. Why no consent banner?

You may have noticed that our website does not display a cookie consent banner. This is not an oversight.

The ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, amended by 2009/136/EC) and the GDPR require a consent banner only when a site stores non-essential cookies (advertising, tracking analytics, etc.).

Since our site:

  • Uses no tracking cookies
  • Uses no advertising cookies
  • Uses a cookieless analytics solution (Umami)
  • Only stores strictly technical cookies (exempt from consent)
  • Does not embed any third-party content or scripts (appointment booking and chat are LetzAgents tools, self-hosted)

We are not legally required to display a consent banner. This is a design choice from the start: respect your privacy rather than asking you to click "Accept".

Our appointment booking is now a form built by us and integrated directly into the website: the embedded booking tool previously used (Cal.com) has been removed. Our Umami analytics remain unchanged: cookieless and self-hosted.
