What the SME Package AI funds, translated into concrete projects

The SME Package AI is the artificial intelligence strand of the SME Packages scheme, managed by the Ministry of the Economy. It reimburses 70% of the eligible costs of an AI project between 3,000 and 25,000 euros excluding VAT (source: guichet.lu, page updated on 11.03.2025). In practice, this aid funds the deployment of an AI solution by an approved provider.

A 25,000 euro (excl. VAT) project gives a maximum grant of 17,500 euros excl. VAT (70% of 25,000). This figure is a calculation based on the parameters published by guichet.lu, not a ceiling published as such. Reimbursement comes after the project is delivered: you advance the cost, then receive the funded share.
